Bits of Joy…and Other Blessings!

2 – Update on Harry – Oral Cancer

10.16.14

The time has come…finally! We will head down to Ann Arbor later today (Thurs., 10/16); spending the night in a hotel close to the hospital, since Harry has to be there at 6 a.m. Friday.

We’re in a really good place. Even though there are many unknowns and we don’t know the “what” or the “how”, we do know the “WHO”; and He knows the what and how of this journey! We are resting…and trusting…in Him – our LORD and Savior, Jesus Christ! We are surrounded by a great cloud of believers and uplifted by your prayers!

“Then Job answered the LORD and said: ‘I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.’” Job 42:1-2

Thanks and blessings!

Dear Ones...

Surgery on Friday was only 8+ hours vs. the 12 anticipated. A very complex surgery, with jaw reconstruction required; but our faithful LORD held him close and my Harry came through with flying colors!! He will be in ICU for at least another day or two.

While he is unable to talk, it's apparent he still has his incredible sense of humor and is getting very creative in finding new ways to communicate.

He will need radiation treatments, and pathology tests will confirm they got it all. We believe we are blessed to have the best surgeons in the world! Before surgery, the doctor prayed with us! I had written a prayer, but when he offered to say the prayer we were surprised and pleased to allow him to do that. Then, he prayed, almost word for word, what I had written! No one knew what I had written other than God and me!  What an incredible we serve!!

We are so grateful to all of you for your continued prayers and love! I'll do my very best to keep you informed as things progress.

Blessings most definitely abound!
